| The Arnprior Day Painters is a group of 14 Arnprior and area residents who meet informally once every week. In the summer they meet in various locations, such as in a member's garden, a local park, or by the water somewhere. In the Winter they usually paint in the Arnprior Public Library meeting room. The group was formed about four years ago for the love of art and the fun and relaxation of painting. They paint in many mediums ... watercolour, coloured pencil, acrylics, oils and pen & ink. Each member shares the skills they have developed and so the group is self-teaching. It is not a formal organization with a president and executive, but is wonderfully "come together". Membership is open to anyone who wishes to paint and share. The artists participate in many shows during the year both locally and in other parts of the Ottawa Valley. | ||||||||||||||||
