When a small child, I took great interest in watching my talented father paint in oil and watercolour.  When a teenager I became avidly interested and took lessons from a local artist near London Ontario.  A few years later upon moving to Arnprior, I painted in oils with a group of artists under the tutelage of the late well-known Ottawa artist Larry Halpin.  Other teachers include Alma Duncan, Kay Camp and Heather Gallop
Six years ago I "got back to basics" - drawing with a few artist friends.  Drawing soon evolved to watercolour pencil, watercolour and acrylics as did our small group which became the Arnprior Day Painters.  These artists offer inspiration, encouragement, and lots of laughs.
Having spent many years as curator of the Arnprior and District Museum, I am now delighted to have more time to devote to painting. My paintings are currently shown in Arnprior's Gallery Gift Shop and the Old Town Restaurant and Tea Room in Renfrew
