My fondness for painting started as a
child with "doodling". That fondness connected with a search for
relaxation and ended up with lessons in portrait painting in oils and then a switch to
watercolours when I discovered that small children and oils do not make a good
blend. I became the first president of the Kanata Art Club in 1973. While with
the club, I had the opportunity to take lessons from Robert Hyndman, Elizanne (Anne)
Campbell, Anne Remmer Thompson, Anne Forman, Catherine Edmonds, and later Heather Gallup
in Stittsville and Arnprior. |
