Frozen Meal Program

Our Philosophy  

The concept of maintaining quality of life is key to Home Support.  The aim is to enable those who are served to maintain maximum independence, hence enhancing their ability to live independently in their own homes as long as possible.  Their own home is a place of comfort and security, an expression of their personalities, a place of memories, a reassurance as to their place in the world, and becomes a crucial aspect in continued quality of life  

Eligibility

Senior Citizens who are 60 years of age and over as well as individuals with special needs who reside in the Town of Arnprior and the Township of McNab/Braeside.  Gift certificates are available at the agency.  

How to ORDER Frozen Meals
Call 613-623-7981 to order your frozen meals Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 4:30pm   When you call to place your order you will be told when your order will arrive.  
How to PICK UP Frozen Meals  
You will be called when your order has arrived.  Frozen meals are picked up on Tuesdays between 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Seniors At Home on 106 McGonigal Street West in Arnprior .  For individuals who are unable to pick up their frozen meals and have no family member or alternate person to help them we will make arrangements for those in need  
How to PAY for Frozen Meals
Full payment for Frozen Meals ( $4.70 each ) to be made at time of pick-up, by cash or cheque payable to Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home.
Inventory
The agency will keep a number of meals on hand for emergency situations and for clients who are discharged from the hospital
Food Safety
“Private Recipes Limited” in Brampton , Ontario prepares the frozen meals.  Their production facility is a registered food production plant that is federally inspected by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).  We operate according to a recognized HACCP program, which meets CFIA criteria.  HACCP is a universally accepted program that encompasses safe food handling procedures and staff training to ensure food safety. Private Recipes Limited cannot guarantee protection against any food allergies as preparation of food could become subject to cross contamination.
